Play Test: Building and Sharing

We play tested a game run by Jamie in Victoria Park. We were told not to speak and had to follow Jamie’s instructions as he gave them throughout the game. We began by having to make a monument together and then making personal totems that we gave to each other. This resulted in Heather being excluded from the game as she was not given one, leading to a discussion about the exclusion of particular groups of people in monuments of historic events. The game then transformed into a changing synchronised action routine. In discussion afterwards we realised it was strange that, without instruction, we had all stayed in such a small cluster, when we had so much space around us Рmaybe a protection mechanism.
