Observing 8000 runners

We had a great vantage point at the top of Arcelor Mittal Orbit to observe the runners on the Newham Great London Run on Sunday 2 July as they milled and gathered, warmed up and flooded through the chicane at the starting post. We shot some time-lapse sequences to capture the flow motion as the many individual runners passed through the barriers – these will be posted here as soon as we’ve image processed the hundreds of images.
